Short version: PrivBgCut is a fully offline desktop application. Your images never leave your computer. We do not run servers, we do not collect your files, and the app does not require an account.
1. What the application does
PrivBgCut runs an ONNX model locally on your machine to remove image backgrounds. All processing happens on your device. The app does not connect to the internet during normal use, and the models are bundled with the installer.
2. What we do not collect
- No images are uploaded to us or to any third party.
- No account is required, and no email is collected for trial use.
- No analytics, telemetry, or crash data are sent automatically.
- No usage logs are transmitted.
3. Data stored on your device
The app stores a small amount of local data to function:
- License file and trial marker — to verify activation and track the 7-day trial period.
- Result cache and temporary files — to speed up repeated operations. These are cleaned automatically after 30 days.
- Model files — bundled with the installer, stored in the application directory.
You can delete any of this data at any time by uninstalling the app or removing the corresponding folders under %APPDATA% and %LOCALAPPDATA%.
4. Machine ID
When you purchase a license, the app generates a local machine identifier derived from your Windows MachineGuid (hashed, 64-bit). This identifier is used only to bind the license to your device. It is not sent to us automatically; you provide it at checkout by copying it from the app.
5. Website
This website is served as static files and does not use cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts. If you contact us by email, we will use your email address only to reply.
6. Third-party services
Purchases are processed by a third-party payment provider. That provider may collect the information necessary to process your payment (name, email, payment details) under its own privacy policy. We receive only the order confirmation and the machine ID you provide at checkout.
7. Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
